START DATE

Cardinal Sean O’Malley has set June 1, 2024 as the official start date for

the establishment of Sacred Heart as an intentional, personal parish.

STAFFING

Our new pastor, Fr. Francis O’Brien is working with the Transition Committee

to recruit staff for the coming year.

The hiring of musicians and faith formation staff is our highest priority.

We will update our Staff webpage with new developments.

Options regarding possible affiliations are also being discussed.

PARISH MINISTRIES

We are also in the process of reorganizing Parish Ministries

in preparation for the many developments in the coming year.

We will add a webpage on Parish Ministries as soon as it is ready.

A NEW FOCUS FOR SACRED HEART PARISH

We are just starting discussions about new directions for the parish.

Fr. Fran arrives in June and will spend the summer setting up offices and meeting parishioners.

In the fall, we will activate parish councils and meet with current and potential parishioners to hear what people are looking for on the path forward.

This process will celebrate the new emphasis on synodality in the Catholic Church.
